The rules of procedure
There is a separate information page for the rules of procedure.
The audit manual
The audit manual lists the internal audit methods. While the rules of procedure regulate what is permitted, the audit manual records how the individual points of the rules of procedure are implemented. It is unusual for internal audits in Germany and worldwide to publish this book. However, the University of Wuppertal has opted for maximum transparency and publishes it for all members of the university.
The audit manual is currently being finalised and will be published as soon as possible.
The kick-off
The kick-off of an audit review is the first official meeting of all those involved, i.e. the internal auditors and representatives of the organisational units. The aim of the kick-off is to get everyone on board, strengthen trust and jointly define the framework conditions. The participants clarify key details about the audit, in particular the objective, process and scope of the audit.
A presentation is usually shown at the kick-off, briefly explaining what the audit is, what it does and what the objectives of the kick-off are. For those interested, the presentation is available as a PDF here.
(Kick-off presentation is only available in German.)
Audit reports
The department heads have access to the audit reports of all completed audits in the department heads' exchange folder. The files are password-protected. Please contact innenrevision[at]uni-wuppertal.de in this regard.
Annual internal audit reports
The audit report provides information on the relevant audit year, as well as on the audits, consultations and follow-up measures carried out. It also examines aspects relating to quality assurance, independence, and the audit function’s access to human and material resources.
Audit reports must always be treated as confidential. Publication is only permitted in anonymised form, so that both the audited organisational units are protected and personal or personnel-related information is excluded.
The audit reports are intended for internal use only.
